In addition to our regular petrographic services, we also offer unique classroom sets of rocks and ore minerals containing 15 hand specimens (approximately 1½ × 1½ in. size), and 15 corresponding thin sections.  Each rock set includes 15 high quality, standard 27 × 46 mm thin sections (~30 micron) of common igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks, protected with cover slips.  The ores mineral set includes 15 polished thin sections for use with metallurgical microscopes.  Each slide is beautifully labeled and designed to withstand many years of rough handling.
