You will find illustrative photographs of hand specimen and high-resolution photomicrographs of thin sections of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.  Each category shows numerous images of 15 common rocks included in the classroom sets. 

You can view the images as thumbnails, enlarged pictures, or as a slide show.
